Missouri Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC)

Created through the federal Excellence in Mental Health Act, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) exist to expand access to mental health and substance use disorder care in community-based settings. Services include 24-hour crisis care, evidence-based practices, care coordination, and integration with physical health care.

The Missouri Behavioral Health Council (MBHC/Council), formerly Missouri Coalition for Community Behavioral Healthcare, founded in 1978, represents Missouri’s not-for-profit certified community behavioral health clinics, community mental health centers, substance use treatment agencies, affiliated community psychiatric rehabilitation service providers, and a clinical call center.
