Who We Are

Missouri Behavioral Health Council

Making a difference statewide.

The Missouri Behavioral Health Council (MBHC/Council), formerly Missouri Coalition for Community Behavioral Healthcare, founded in 1978, represents Missouri’s not-for-profit certified community behavioral health clinics, community mental health centers, substance use treatment agencies, affiliated community psychiatric rehabilitation service providers, and a clinical call center.

The Council actively leads the development and implementation of programs, systems, and resources that unify and support the statewide providers which improve access to appropriate behavioral healthcare for all Missourians.


SAVE THE DATES | Missouri Behavioral Health Conference

September 20-22, 2023

Over the last decade, the Council has hosted an annual behavioral health conference for our members, peers, state partners, and other advocacy organizations. This conference is notably recognized as a best-in-class conference and learning experience, and we continue to raise the engagement and experience for attendees.

This year's conference will be in person at the Westin at Crown Plaza, Kansas City, MO. Registration to come!
